Kandy City Stay

My trip to Kandy was a really good experience. I was impressed by this small hotel during my 2-night stay. - the staff were excellent and co-operative. - the food served at the hotel was great. - the location of the venue was central, close to Kandy city attractions.

Our location was magnificent and marvellous, walk from a bus station. The restaurant here was awesome with very good food and great roof top seating area, we both ordered appetising dishes.

The staff were knowledgeable and reasonably good day and night. I got a savoury and plentiful breakfast with sri lankan food and good views, for instance;))

Great location, just a short walk from the train station and close to bars and the lake. the hotel offers a generous breakfast and has a lift, making it convenient for elderly guests.

The room had some cleanliness issues, with dirty bed linens and cockroaches in the bathroom. the imitation windows didn't provide much sunlight, and there was construction noise during our stay.

The rooms were stunning, with shared bathroom; the place had a quiet atmosphere, and the central location and courteous staff were the highlight of this really great stay.

Had a comfortable stay for one night, enjoyed a good breakfast at a nearby restaurant, the location was perfect with a market and bakery close by.

I had a great experience staying at City Stay in Kandy. the room I stayed in, 704, had a stunning view from both the bedroom and bathroom. the hotel is slightly away from the town center, but it's easily accessible by a short walk or a cheap tuk tuk ride. the staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating. the bed was large and comfortable, and there were plenty of power outlets. It was definitely good value for money, and I appreciated that they accepted card payment. Cons: Almost perfect ✨.

This venue is conveniently situated just a few minutes away from a bus station in a fantastic area.

The restaurant at Kandy City Stay was really nice with great food. the rooftop seating area was fantastic. - We ordered some appetizing dishes.

The driver/guide provided by the hotel, Nadith, was exceptional. He made us feel safe and secure throughout our stay, from the moment we were picked up at the airport to when he dropped us off in Nuwara Eliya. We did several day trips with him and he came highly recommended. the beds and pillows at the hotel were very comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep.

There were a few negatives to our experience. there were many dead bees on the stairs leading up to the rooftop bar, indicating a potential nest on the outside of the building.

The staff here is really helpful and committed, which adds great value to staying here; the rooms are a good size, clean with a view of the mountains and a balcony.

The breakfast selection was diverse, including both Sri Lankan and Western options. The rooftop provided excellent city views. The room was spacious and well-equipped with complimentary water. The restaurant on the top floor had great food. The bathroom had a fantastic view and a bathtub.
